  'CONAN' TV SERIES
New Conan will be done at Amazon
COMING TO AMAZON!
The epic TV treat of the day are news coming from Amazon who are developing an epic series on CONAN The Barbarian based on Robert E. Howard's famous comic books! The series comes from Ryan Condal, Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik and Handmaid's Tale producer Warren Littlefield.
Returning to the original story from the comic books, CONAN will see the title epic hero driven out of his tribal homelands and wandering the mysterious and treacherous world of civilization where he searches for purpose in a place that rejects him as a mindless savage. As you know, Amazon has recently paid massive bucks for Lord of the Rings TV series rights and is obviously venturing into epic fantasy waters.

  'EMPIRE' SEASON FOUR
CHET HANKS AND KADE WISE JOIN THE LYON MUSIC EMPIRE
Kade Wise will be a Muslim preacher rapper
Meanwhile, if you are looking forward to the return of everybody's favourite hip hop soap opera EMPIRE at Fox March 28th, you can also look forward to two new hunks in the cast! The return of the fourth season will see Lucious (Terrence Howard) in a Misery scenario when Demi Moore locks him up in a wood cabin and Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) will come to his rescue. Two new faces joining the season as new rappers are Kade Wise (who will attract Jamal Lyon’s, played by Jussie Smollett, musical interest) and Tom's hunky son Chet Hanks (who will play Blake, a blue-collar rapper, a skilled MC and
Chet Hanks will play a new rapper in Empire called Blake
and lyricist)! They will both have a reoccurring role in the comeback of season four this spring.

  1. I wonder if Arnold Schwarzenegger will have a cameo in the remake of "Conan the Barbarian"?

    1. No, he is doing some Wild West epic series for Amazon in another production in which he will play a sheriff or something.

  2. Wasn't there a Conan series in the 80's or 90's? I vaguely recall my mom watching something along those lines back then.

    2. I just looked it up, there was one in the 90's that only lasted 2 seasons. Was low budget and never gained a following.

    3. there was a point back in the late 90s early 00s when sword and sorcery series, the low budget ones, were a thing, I loved them as a kid, even XENA, HERCULES and SINBAD.

    4. Xena is still one of my favorites. Just rewatched the whole series on Netflix not that long ago. :)

    6. I'm going to have to see if Xena is back on Netflix. I was bummed when they took it off because it was one of those older shows I wanted to catch up on. If not, maybe Amazon has it. Netflix is notorious for removing the good shows. I was so pissed when I got halfway through Chuck and they took it off, then again halfway through Bones and boom. Gone again. Dirty bastards drawing me into a series then snatching it away :(

    1. Hundreds of millions worth, they wouldn't dare to make it bad :) It will be the most expensive series ever, and I mean EVAH!

  4. Conan and LotR? Crazy. My problem with all these epic TV shows is that everything ends up being TV-MA, and I don't watch shows unless the whole family can watch them...which means no TV-MA. *shrugs*
